The Princess Bride (1987) - 66.5 Points
Chuckles 55, Laughs 15, Belly Laughs 8 Notes: This is one of the great, underrated comedies of the 1980's. "Meathead" (Rob Reiner) really hit a home run with this film that features Andre The Giant and Billy Crystal but the true star is a less familiar name to most; Cary Elwes, who also starred in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, which was made 6 years after this movie. This is a very funny movie throughout, without, the often sub-par acting that plagues many comedies. Lots of great quotes including: “Life isn't fair, it's just fairer than death, that's all.” “We’ll never survive!” “Nonsense. You’re only saying that because no one ever has.” Would I watch it again? Yes! I really enjoyed watching this movie.
