Chuckles 89, Laughs 33, Belly Laughs 14
Notes: This is one of the rare instances when the sequel scored more points than the original. Will Ferrell and gang are absolutely hilarious in this movie that is set in New York. The addition of Kristin Wiig was genius. "This is the nicest soda machine anyone's ever taken me to!" Love the scene where Ron Burgundy is skating while playing flute. "What in the name of Dan Isle?" The Canadian News Crew (SORRY!) is nothing short of amazing. If you liked the original Anchorman, there is a good chance you might enjoy the sequel even funnier, like I did. Would I watch it again? Yes.

Chuckles 40, Laughs 14, Belly Laughs 7
Notes: Will Ferrell is on the top of his game as an owner, coach and player of his ABA Basketball team, "The Detroit Tropics" in this very funny comedy set in the 1970's prior to the NBA merger. Those were the days when the ABA was doing ANYTHING to get fans in the stands and in some ways, this movie wasn't far off from the incredible spectacle that was the ABA back in the day. Andre 3000 does a great job acting and Woodie Harrelson is always stellar. Very funny movie. EVERYBODY LOVE EVERYBODY - COME ON!!! Oh, Will Arnett steals the show in my opinion! Would I watch it again? Yes. Chuckles 9, Laughs 4, Belly Laughs 1
Notes: This is an action-comedy starring Markie Mark, Mark Wahlberg as a former highly trained killer who settled down in suburbia to raise a family and get away from his past. There's probably equal measure stress and laughs but overall, I liked it. In fact, it's one of those instances of a movie that didn't score a ton of points that I'd recommend because it's entertaining and overall, is funny. Would I watch it again? Maybe. |
