The Mask (1994) - 62 Points

Notes: I'd almost forgotten about this comedy from the 90's but it's worth remembering. Jim Carrey is incredible and the movie debut of Cameron Diaz - SMOKIN'! Like seriously, she looks amazing and it's no wonder that Jim Carrey's eyes pop out like the cartoon wolf and he makes that antique car horn sound of "ah-oohh-ga!" Shy, mild-mannered Jim Carrey comes across a Norse mask of mischief that brings out the inner you when you put it on. His character loves cartoons and when he puts on the mask, he turns into a super amazing cartooney version of himself who is confident, playful and heroic. Even though it didn't land on the top 100 movies of all time, this is one of my all time favorite roles for Jim Carrey.
Would I watch it again? Yes.
