Tampopo, 1985
An "expert" had this movie listed on his all-time funniest movies. When I saw it available on a streaming service, I got excited. I was hoping to find this unknown "gem" and looked forward to telling everyone about this hilarious Japanese movie that they had to see. This movie is about two truck drivers who help a widow improve her cooking. Specifically, this movie is all about ramen and eating. I just didn't find it funny aside from a few chuckles. I watched it for 45 minutes and fast forwarded to the end, which was much as the beginning of the film except as the credits roll, there's a shot of a woman breast feeding in a public park with the camera zooming in on the baby on the woman's nipple (side view). I think that "expert" who put this movie on his/her list did so to amuse themselves at the expense of anyone who would take this recommendation seriously. Waste of time unfortunately.
