Notes: I had high expectations when I saw the trailer with two of my favorite comedy actors starring in this Apple + movie. As you know from my top 100 list, Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell score really well and I love their humor. This movie is an updated version of the "Scrooge" (A Christmas Carol) Christmas movies. The story is good. I'm just not a fan of musicals and I didn't realize this was a musical and nearly stopped watching during the first singing/dancing but thought I'd give it a chance. I watched this with my wife who disliked it more than I did. I found it a bit of a roller coaster; starting off liking it, then disliking it, liking it again and disliking it again and at the end, I mostly liked it. On a scale of 0-10, she gave it a 3 and I gave it a 6. I feel like it underperformed in the comedy department but if you're a fan of musicals, you may give it a much higher score.
Would I watch it again? No.
