Chuckles 18, Laughs 5, Belly Laughs 7
Notes: I've heard about this movie most of my life because my last name is Hansen and all I heard about when I'd say my name is, "oh, Hanson, like the Hanson brothers in Slap Shot. I love those guys!" I bought the DVD years ago and I FINALLY for the first time watched it. This movie stars Paul Newman as the player/coach of a minor league hockey team playing in a mining town in PA. It looks pretty much the way I remember that time, kinda... ugly and depressing. This movie would be totally depressing if it weren't for the Hanson brothers who really make the movie fun. In the 20th anniversary DVD you can watch ONLY their scenes with the actor's commentary and it's freaking fabulous and worth checking out. Would I watch it again? Just the Hanson brother's highlights and that's it.
