65. Shaolin Soccer (2001) - 68.5 Points
Chuckles 41, Laughs 15, Belly Laughs 11 Notes: 20 years ago I was shopping for a new TV at a major electronics store and I happened to catch some of the craziest action I'd ever seen on the screen. I asked one of the sales people what was playing and it was a movie I'd never heard of called Shaolin Soccer. As soon as I could find the DVD, I bought it and it has remained one of my favorite movies ever though I'd not seen it now for a number of years. This is the most entertaining soccer you could possibly imagine in the tradition of the kung fu movies of the 1970's, which I absolutely love. Stephen Chow is one creative, imaginative, talented writer, director and actor! I wish this movie scored a higher placement on the list but it's a solid score. This movie has plenty of laughs, hopefully enough to earn a spot as one of the 100 funniest movies of all time. We'll see. Would I watch it again? Yes.
