Rushmore (1998) - 40 Points
Chuckles 34, Laughs 8, Belly Laughs 5 Notes: A friend of mine suggested this movie to me. I've been aware of it since it came out but it just didn't look that appealing. This is a weird, quirky, awkward, coming-of-age comedy about a 15 year old boy (Jason Schwartz) at a private school whose grades suffer despite being an overachiever and his friendship with a parent of classmate (Bill Murray) and his crush on a teacher (Olivia Williams). Sometimes Wes Anderson movies are "almosts" for me but this one hit the mark. Mr. Anderson directed the film and co-wrote it with Owen Wilson. I'm kicking myself for not watching it sooner. Would I watch it again? Yes.
