36. History of the World- Pt. 1 (1981) - 84.5 Points
Chuckles 65, Laughs 28, Belly Laughs 8 Notes: This is Mel Brooks at his finest in my opinion. Lots of jokes, gags and general silliness. The horrific Spanish Inquisition which persecuted and tortured his people (both Jews and Muslims) in an attempt to convert them to Christianity presented as a hilarious musical number (I guess you could laugh or cry - might as well laugh) and the, "It's good to be the King" theme throughout the French Revolution showcase the incredible sense of humor that made Mel Brooks a legend. Would I watch it again? Probably.
