Bullet Train (2022) - 77.5 Points
Chuckles 51, Laughs 25, Belly Laughs 9 Notes: The first time I saw the preview for this movie, I couldn't wait to see it. Unfortunately, they played the trailer so often and for so long, that I almost didn't want to see it when it finally hit the theater but I did and I was glad that I did. I saw it twice in the theater and once on video - that's how much I liked it. Bullet Train is an action flick with a lot of comedy, similar to Thor-Ragnarok. This movie stars Brad Pitt and he's perfectly cast as the unlucky hit-man hired to pick up a briefcase on a bullet train full of hitmen/criminals. Fair warning, there is as much graphic violence as there are laughs (a lot). I found the "twins" (Brian Tyree Henry and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, hit-men hired to bring the mysterious head of the crime family his son and his briefcase full of money to him in Kyoto) to be extremely funny and likeable. I loved the Thomas the Train references throughout. Also great to see Andrew Koji (Warrior) and Hiroyuki Sanada in this film. It's amazing to me how an action movie can outscore dedicated comedies but.... this movie delivers laughs. I found it very funny. Would I watch it again? Yes.
