Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1988) - 21 Points
Chuckles 22, Laughs 7, Belly Laughs 1 Notes: This isn't really a laugh out loud, funny movie. The acting isn't great but still it's entertaining. Who would have imagined that Keanu Reeves would later become an action hero in future movies? Not me, watching him in this one. Cool to see George Carlin (RIP) and the time-traveling phone booth, not unlike Dr. Who's TARDIS. This movie is an incredible time capsule showing what the world looked like in the mid to late 80's; the hairstyles, clothes and the vernacular. It's worth watching for that alone. I could be wrong but I seem to remember the sequel (Bogus Adventure) featuring Death being funnier and the 3rd movie in the trilogy being agonizing. The ending of the movie reminds me a lot of Napoleon Dynamite with their presentation in the auditorium. Would I watch this one again? Maybe, but it makes me want to see if I can find cartoon somewhere online first.
