Big (1988) - 44 Points
Chuckles, 32, Laughs 16, Belly Laughs 4 Notes: Penny Marshall made a really sweet, nice and funny film and Tom Hanks plays the role of a 13 year old that is suddenly transformed into an adult overnight - extremely well. I'm a big fan of movies with adults that have the innocence of children, like Buddy the Elf and Blue Shirt Guy (in Free Guy) probably because I find them relatable. I wish that we could all exhibit the unabashed enthusiasm, freedom, fun and curiosity we all had when we were younger, before the world made some of us jaded to varying degrees. Although this film didn't score high, it's a gem of a movie that is extremely entertaining. Would I watch it again? Yes. I'm sure I will watch it again at some point.
