Chuckles 32, Laughs 7, Belly Laughs 4
Notes: This movie is weird, awkward, moronic and mostly uncomfortable to watch. Those ingredients can work when everything is "right" but it only sort-of does in this movie. Mr. Bean doesn't talk throughout the movie, just mumbles perceptively and uses sometimes amusing facial expressions to convey his thoughts. The story features a 4-Star General who graciously donates $50M for the Art Museum in Los Angeles to obtain the famous painting, "Whistlers Grandmother." I've never heard of anyone in the military at any level with that kind of cash so that was amusing (the General played by Burt Reynolds). Anyway, there are a fair share of chuckles and a few belly laughs. Mr. Bean did blow up a barf bag (with barf in it) and popped it over a sleeping passenger in an airplane. Would I watch it again? Nope.
