Chuckles 57, Laughs 20, Belly Laughs 0
Notes: This movie stars the South Park creators; Trey Parker and Matt Stone (Trey actually does "Cartman's" voice at one point). This movie is a satire of professional sports. The idea of combining baseball and basketball sounded stupid to me until they explained the game and then I was like, "well, when I was a kid, I could see us making up something similar." I'm a little shocked that it scored higher than Ace Ventura - lots of chuckles but no belly laughs for me. I hadn't heard of this movie until a few years ago and it's been "in cue" for 3 years and well, I finally watch it and it was a little better than I would have expected. It features really most of the popular sports announcers of the time (Al Michaels, Bob Costas and the guys from ESPN) as well as Jenny McCarthy, Ernest Borgnine (surprised by that one). I feel like Dian Bachar stole the show. Would I watch it again? It's hard to say. Likely no but it doesn't mean that it's not worth checking out.
