A Christmas story (1983) - 16 Points

Notes: I know this is a much loved movie because my neighbor across the street has a giant image of Ralphie in a pink bunny suit with the words, "you look like a pink nightmare" as part of their Christmas decorations for the world to see. Well, it piqued my interest enough to watch the movie for the first time, thinking that maybe he was a "Dennis the Menace type." I was wrong. I think my opinion of this movie would be different if I grew up watching it but watching it for the first time as an adult, I found it only mildly funny and mostly boring. The best parts for me involved Ralphie's dad's obsession with the sexy leg lamp and seeing Mickey Mouse getting hassled in the Christmas parade by flying monkeys. Otherwise, it had a few chuckles here and there. Well, at least now I can say that I watched it.
Would I watch it again? No.
