You, Me and Dupree (2006) - 42 Points
Chuckles 25, Laughs 11, Belly Laughs 6 Notes: A newlywed couple, Carl and Molly, are ready to settle into married life when Carl’s best man, Dupree, unexpectedly moves in with them after losing his job and apartment. What starts as a short stay quickly turns into chaos, as Dupree’s quirky and irresponsible behavior disrupts their household, testing their patience, marriage, and friendships — all with plenty of laughs along the way. This movie stars Matt Dillon as Carl, Kate Hudson as Molly and Owen Wilson as Dupree. Would I watch it again? Probably.

Chuckles 35, Laughs 13, Belly Laughs 5
I'd wanted to see this movie in the theatre but it had such a short stay, I missed it so I was happy to see it on HBO so I could finally watch it. This movie stars Paul Rudd who is also executive producer and Tim Robinson, who I was unfamiliar with. The premise is a friendship that goes awry and you have to factor in that this is an A24 film. I don't want to give too much of the movie away so I'll refer to my notes as I watched the film. Awkward. Train wreck. Weird. Spaghetti Freddy's. Stressful. OOF! Bromance. Oh Man!!! And it ends as only an A24 Comedy would. Whoa! I laughed almost as much as I winced. Would I watch it again? Man, I think once is enough but I'm glad I did watch it finally! |
AuthorIf there' s one thing I've always been good at, it's laughing and identifying with a remarkable degree of accuracy, the source of that laughter. For I am SKOL; (The) Scandinavian King Of Laughter! Archives
